9188-Rigatino
is a Signature Exclusive Hearst Castle design inspired by a pair of
hand-woven, chenille casement curtains hanging in the cloister bedrooms of
Hearst Castle. Our version of this design is an open weave casement
pattern, woven on a lino linen warp and accented with textured, twisted
rayon novelty yarns, and two types of rayon chenille. Rigatino gives
dramatic architectural interest by forming large, bold horizontal stripes
in various sizes, which creates a strong, sophisticated statement in any
room setting. Rigatino is offered in five colorways and is shown
here in Castano. The ground of Rigatino is also available in a solid
casement, as pattern 9189-Alassio, and is available in four colorways.
9185-Tesoro
is a Signature Exclusive Hearst Castle design inspired by exquisite
hand-carved, gilded, and elaborately painted wood panels found in a
bedroom in Casa Del Mar. Our version is woven on silk warps with
intricate weave details and a subtle dimensional surface, which creates a
trapunto effect. Tesoro is available in eight beautiful colorways
and is shown here in Azul.
9174-Venusta
is a Signature Exclusive Hearst Castle design inspired by a 17th
Century altar frontal. This magnificent artifact once hung in the
Assembly Room and has since been moved to the vaults for
preservation. Our version is woven with impeccable detail, capturing
the look and whimsical charm of the original embroidery. Woven at an
impressive 360 thread count, this pattern meets abrasion results of 30,000
double rubs. Venusta is available in ten marvelous colorways and is
shown here in Castano.
9181-Canasta
is a Signature Exclusive Hearst Castle design inspired by a chair
upholstered in a silk velvet, jacquard floral, circa 1900. This
beautiful antique is located in the sitting room of Casa Del Monte and was
first used by Hearst and his wife, Millicent, in the early 1920’s.
Our version features a dramatic floral arrangement surrounded by an
ogee floral frame. Canasta is woven with rayon fill yarns and a
luxurious rayon chenille ground and is then washed to emulate the Old
World antiquity of the original piece. Canasta is available in seven
colorways and is shown here in Castano.
