9181-Canasta
(left) is a Signature Exclusive Hearst Castle design inspired by a
chair upholstered in a silk velvet, jacquard floral, circa 1900.
This beautiful antique is located in the sitting room of Casa Del Monte
and was first used by Hearst and his wife, Millicent, in the early 1920’s.
Our version features a dramatic floral arrangement surrounded by an
ogee floral frame. Canasta is woven with rayon fill yarns and a
luxurious rayon chenille ground and is then washed to emulate the Old
World antiquity of the original piece. Canasta is available in seven
colorways and is shown here in Verano.
9191-Vivaio
(center) is a Signature Exclusive Hearst Castle design, inspired by
floral elements taken from a gorgeous 19th
Century Chinese carpet found in Casa Grande. Our version is an exquisite
embroidered floral vine centered between silk satin stripes, woven on a
silk and linen ground. Vivaio is available in six colorways and is shown
here in Verano.
9194-Satinato
(right) is a Signature Exclusive Hearst Castle design, inspired by
a hand-stitched silk quilt, purchased as a gift for Hearst’s wife,
Millicent. This delicate antique was later moved to the Hearst Castle
vaults for preservation. Our interpretation is a gorgeous vertical
up-the-roll satin stripe design, woven in luxurious silk satin. Satinato
is available in six classic colorations and is shown here in Verano.
